About & Contact

I’m Kevin Burgundy and welcome to Stayclassy.net – The internet’s best damn hockey blog… with a hint of Burgundy. Based out of Toronto, Canada, Stayclassy.net is a hockey blog writes about pressing NHL stories with a mix of humour (read: sarcastic) and serious perspectives.

Please note all blogs are original writings by Stayclassy.net and should not be used without expressed consent.

Stayclassy.net aims to bring something unique, interesting, and witty to the online hockey world in a way that immortalizes the best movie ever made. I’ll let you figure out what movie on your own.

Through Stayclassy.net, I have had the pleasure of interacting with some of the most knowledgeable hockey fans around the world. It’s the reason I originally started this site. I’ve been featured on great hockey sites like Kukla’s Korner, IllegalCurve.com, Yahoo Sports’ Puck Daddy blog, and other great sites. I’ve also been fortunate enough to interview respected sports personalities like Ian Mendes (Sportsnet), Jeff Marek (ex-CBC/HNIC), and James Duthie (TSN) among others.

A few more things about Stayclassy.net (in no particular order):

  • 60% of the time, Stayclassy.net is funny all the time
  • I’m 72% sure this blog is interesting
  • Stayclassy.net features zero rumours and has no filler (e5)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How many writers does Stayclassy.net have?
A:  Eight. I (Kevin Burgundy) am the creator and primary contributor to the site. On occasion some of my peers like Fantana, ChampTambland, MantoothBaxter, Harken and Corningstone contribute great articles too.

Q:  Are you looking for more bloggers?
A:  Thanks for your interest. At the moment I’m not looking to add any writers to the Stayclassy.net team.

Q:  How long has Stayclassy.net been around for?
A:  I started Stayclassy.net in January 2009 as a bet that such a site couldn’t be built, maintained or grown into a cult following it now enjoys. The first article was posted on January 7th, 2009.

Q:  Do you ever do guest writings or contribute to other hockey sites?
A:  Yes. I wrote a series of articles for HockeyIndependent.com during the 2009-2010 NHL season. You can check out my work here. I’ve also contributed to sites like ViewFromMySeats.com for predictions and analysis (click here for an example). During the 2010-2011 NHL season I wrote for TheScore.com as part of their new “Houses of The Hockey” blog. You can check out the work I did for them here. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about my writing, please email me.

Q:  What does Stayclassy.net think is cool?
A:  News Anchors, TSN’s Jay Onrait/Dan O’Toole, LOST, NHL/all things hockey and Kristen Bell. I love Kristen Bell. If you are Kristen Bell, please email me and we’ll do lunch or dinner. Clearly I have no shame.

Q:  Will the Toronto Maple Leafs ever win a Stanley Cup?
A:  Never. Ever.
