Good evening Sportsfans, Champ Kind here checking in with his first contribution to Stayclassy.net. The Champster is as excited as two fleas at a Dog Show to join the News Team and will continue to bring all of you more classy goodness in blog form.
Just so you all know the Champster is as bald as Pierre McGuire and twice as loud but not nearly as annoying… more on that in a minute. One of Champ’s regular contributions will be the WHAMMY of the week…it could be a great fight, a great hit or a 6 pack of Schiltz either way it’s a guaranteed good time. Look for the first one soon.
But getting back to Pierre McGuire, love em or hate em has this guy got rose coloured glasses on as of late or what? In last night’s Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguin’s game he’s ranting about how awesome the Leafs effort was on their first goal when the reason they scored was cause the 2 Pens d-men got caught on the same side of the ice. The puck should have had a friggen big red bow on it right there in front of the crease with a “please shoot me into the net” sign beside it.
And gotta love Mike Brophy’s latest blog…it’s becoming very clear that he is not an Ottawa Senators fan (cue the boo birds). He has them finishing 4th in the division just barely ahead of the Leafs. Hate to break it to ya Mike but that’s not gonna happen. You Toronto media types figure that since Ottawa missed the playoffs last year and with Heatley-gate taking place this summer that Ottawa are soon to be the Washington Generals of the NHL but it ain’t gonna happen. Watch how Cory Clouston gets the boys going out there right out of the gate. They will give the Boston Bruins a good challenge this year and settle in nicely in 4th or 5th in the Eastern Conference. You heard it here sportsfans.
